Zagreb has a very long history, which you can see on the architecture around the city, but there’s something you can see that tells a story which is 12-15 million years old.
If you go to the western part of the city, you can check out the skeleton of a blue whale made completely of scrap metal. It is a sculpture which tells us a story when all of this area was covered with the Panonian sea, which was a home of the blue whale.
Explorers found the leftovers of ancient fish, clamps and plants, and in the 19th century, they found remains of the 6 meter long baby whale.
In his honor, you can see the sculpture in the western part of the city, in the area called Podsused.
