A statue of “kumica” Barica is a symbol of all sellers, locally known as “kumice”, who sell their products on a daily basis at the most famous farmers market – Dolac. The monument was set in 2006, and was made by Stjepan Gracan.

It’s located in the Gornji Grad – Medvescak city district, well known for its combination of traditional open market with stalls and sheltered market below.
The Dolac market is one of the most known farmers market in Zagreb, and during one really hot, but stormy day, we decided to take a walk and see what’s going on there.
The famous French artist Julien de Casabianca made a stunning mural on the oldest and most famous market in Zagreb – the Dolac market. He was inspired by the painting called “My nest” painted by Croatian artist Vlaho Bukovac. This mural was made within the project “Outings”. Doesn’t it look spectacular?
